Laura is a linguist and social impact leader with over 10 years of experience – from community-based grassroots programs to global systems change initiatives.

Laura is passionate about social and environmental impact and has spent the last decade working with teams that are changing the world — from reimagining education for the 21st century with Ashoka’s global network of social entrepreneurs and Changemaker Schools, to making social and environmental transformation core to organizational strategy with Simply Business and B Corp.

Laura is an avid reader, photographer, hiker, writer, foodie, and educator. Her research on community-based social innovation in education was published in International Models of Changemaker Education, and her photograph depicting experiential environmental learning for young people was published in National Geographic’s Your Shot ‘Bright Ideas in Action’ challenge.

She has a B.A. in Linguistics from Duke University and a Masters in Social Innovation from the University of Cambridge.
